Abington Presbyterian Church Parish House
The church parish hall is an important part of its community. It is the church’s social hall, where members come together to share news and stories. It hosts performances, boy and girl scout meetings and activities, wedding and funeral and christening receptions, holiday banquets, celebrations. With this renovation, the Parish House of Abington Presbyterian Church is again able to fill all of those roles.
Replacing the mechanical system, insulating the stained glass windows and the roof made the building comfortable again. Replacing the rotted ground floor framing and solving the groundwater problem that led to it made the ground floor habitable again. Adding restrooms to the main floor made the multi-purpose space accessible. And adding stairs to the main stage, stripping and refinishing the woodwork, as well as adding appropriate acoustical treatments restored the main hall to its former glory.
